Taher Amini was sentenced to life in prison after raping a woman, throwing her into a mine hole in Norberg and leaving her to die there.

He is serving his sentence at Salbergaanstalten and has now been granted permission to, for the first time, leave the prison for a short period.

It will be a so-called air hole leave, which means that the mined Afghan may be outside the prison for a few hours. During this period, he wants to eat at a restaurant, take a walk and buy ice cream.

Gruvhålsafghan's application has been granted, but with certain conditions. For example, Amini is not told in advance what day he will get his leave. He will also be accompanied by uniformed staff, he may not consume alcohol or drugs and he may not contact crime victims.

According to Avesta Tidning, the Afghan man has received a warning from the Correctional Service for refusing to work after refusing to clean the prison's gym .

Taher Amini came to Sweden illegally in 2015 and sought asylum. The Migration Agency rejected his application two years later and then decided on deportation.

In 2018, the Afghan appealed the decision, but the Migration Court rejected the appeal. The same year, the court decided not to grant leave to appeal.

Taher Amini was still able to stay in Sweden illegally and committed the bestial act in April 2022.
