The Samsung Galaxy Watch FE will be released on June 24. This is what leaker Arsène Lupine writes. Earlier this week, alleged images of the budget smartwatch already appeared. On Tuesday, the same leaker also mentioned a suggested retail price for the watch.
Leaker Arsène Lupine writes on X that the Samsung Galaxy Watch FE will be released on June 24, but does not share any further information. The same user previously said that the watch will cost 199 euros. The leaker previously released correct information about, among other things, the ASUS Rog Ally In terms of specifications, it has many similarities with the Galaxy Watch4 from 2021. For example, the watch will reportedly have the same Exynos W920 chip, a 247mAh battery, 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of flash storage. However, the screen of the 40mm smartwatch is somewhat smaller: 1.2″ instead of 1.4″. The resolution is therefore also less high, with 396×396 pixels instead of 450×450 pixels. According to leaker Sudhanshu Ambhore, the watch is equipped with the WearOS-based operating system One UI 5 Watch. The Samsung Galaxy Watch7 smartwatches that will be released later this year are likely to be equipped with One UI 6 Watch.
Ambhore also shared alleged renders of the Galaxy Watch FE this week. This shows that the similarities with the 2021 Samsung clock are not only limited to the specifications. The appearance has also largely remained the same, including equally thick bezels. The watch strap is a bit different. Like the Watch6, it now includes a button that allows users to release the strap with a click.
