Water cooling manufacturer Alphacool will show its modular Apex Pro Skeleton housing during Computex 2024. This is partly made of carbon fiber and has an open design. The company is also showing a DDC pump that should perform comparable to a larger D5 model.
Alphacool plans to make the case available later this month. An employee tells Tweakers that it hopes to release the housing with a target price of between 750 and 850 euros in Europe. There will also be a cheaper non-Pro variant made of aluminum, which also comes without a distroplate. It would cost around 500 dollars, writes TechPowerUp.
Compact Core DDCZero pump should be as good as a D5
Alphacool also introduces various water cooling components during the Computex. Many of these are centered around a new Core DDCZero pump, which the company co-developed with Xylem. The manufacturer claims that the DDCZero pump should perform comparable to a D5 pump, although with its DDC form factor it is a lot more compact.
The company comes with various products that are compatible with the new DDCZero. In addition to a number of reservoirs where the pump can be screwed into, Alphacool shows, for example, a water block with space for the DDCZero. The manufacturer says it will also use the design in AIO water coolers of 240 and 360 mm. According to Alphacool, the DDCZero pump will appear in the third quarter of this year, together with a pump top and a number of reservoirs. The AIOs will appear at the end of this year or early 2025. However, the manufacturer could not yet confirm recommended prices to Tweakers.
