Ukrainian attack inside Russia

Foreign. For the first time since the outbreak of war in 2022, Ukraine has attacked North Ossetia in southern Russia, according to local authorities in the Russian republic.

The drones are believed to have a military airfield as a target, the Russian air base in Mozdok, North Ossetia, is the base for strategic Russian bombers and Mig-31s used for attacks on Ukraine with Kindzal robots.

North Ossetia is far from the front lines of the war; the distance to Zaporizhzhya in southern Ukraine is about 100 miles.

At the same time, Russia's Ministry of Defense reports that 25 Ukrainian drones have been shot down during the night in six different regions as well as on the annexed Crimean peninsula.

In addition to this Russian forces destroyed two naval drones that were heading towards the Crimean peninsula, according to the military.

No people were reportedly injured in the attacks.
