Christian Democratic CDU looks set to become largest party in Germany with 23.5 percent of the vote, according to a first polling station survey from the state-run ARD.
According to the same survey, the immigration-critical Alternative for Germany is ringing in with 16.5 percent, making the party the second largest party in Germany.
The Social Democrats seem to end up in third place with 14 percent voter support.
The Greens – the powerful German Green Party – plummet to 12 percent.
