Domestic. The rap artist C.Gambino – who recently received a Grammy in the category for “Hip Hop of the Year” – was shot in Gothenburg late on Friday night and has died.

Several alarm calls were received at 10.40 pm on Friday evening about a shooting in a parking garage at Selma Lagerlöfs square.
Police were quickly on the scene and found a 25-year-old man with a gunshot wound in the parking garage. He was taken to hospital by ambulance, but his could not be saved and he died at the hospital.
According to GP, the man is a “famous and acclaimed rapper from Gothenburg”.
Dopest reports that it's about C.Gambino, who was named one of Adidas and Spotify's “Class of 2021” artists to watch out for. That same year saw his Spotify Studio 100 single “Woman”. At the 2024 Grammy Awards, he won in the Hip Hop of the Year category.
The next of kin have been notified of the death, according to the police.
The police have started a preliminary investigation into murder and intensive work is underway, including with information gathering.
No one has yet been arrested in the case.
The police now want observations made in connection with the shooting. If you have information to provide, please call 114 14. Among other things, witnesses have seen a car leave the scene shortly after the shooting, possibly in the direction of the E6.
