Another political crime has hit Germany, days before the elections to the European Parliament.

It is once again Mannheim that is the scene. The same city where Islam critic Michael Stürzenberger was stabbed in the square by an Afghan, who in connection with the act killed a policeman. All in front of the camera.

The local AFD politician Heinrich Koch confronted a man who tore down the party's election posters at 10.45pm on Tuesday evening. He filmed the confrontation himself and in the video you can see how Koch orders the man to put the posters down. The man responds by stabbing the politician.

A 25-year-old suspected perpetrator has been arrested, according to German media. According to the police, there were signs of mental illness in the man at the time of the arrest.

AFD party leader Alice Weidel expresses shock at the incident:

“It is a terrifying act that leaves one speechless. I wish Mr. Koch a speedy recovery and that he recovers quickly,” she says in a comment to Junge Freiheit.

Heinrich Koch's injuries are said not to be life-threatening. Federal Member of Parliament Markus Frohnmaier (AFD) from Baden-Württemberg tells Junge Freiheit that, as far as he knows, Heinrich Koch was attacked with a carpet knife and injured in the stomach and probably also in the face.
