According to SD, the programs that were broadcast on May 7 and 14 respectively statements and designations that were incorrect in a way that risks “having consequences for the public's perception of the Swedish information environment”.

TV4 has also “used a set of images that was intended to reinforce a narrative in an inappropriate way”, according to SD, which believes that the television company has thus breached the requirements for objectivity.

In its report, the party writes:

“The fact that TV4 chose to broadcast the program is particularly serious in light of the fact that it has been apt to create a false image of a political party, that the broadcast took place in connection with the elections to the European Parliament and that it took place after several authorities warned of improper foreign information influence and misinformation. Mixing legitimate opinion formation, satire and democratic opinions with such foreign influence operations that the authorities are tasked with protecting Swedish democracy from, entails a risk of distortion or misinterpretation of important information from the authorities circumstances and context should be weighed as aggravating factors in the assessment of whether TV4, through the features, has violated the requirement of objectivity in the broadcast license.”
