Nvidia starts an SFF-Ready program for compact housings and graphics cards. This makes it easier for users to see whether certain GPUs fit in small mini-ITX housings. According to the GPU maker, there are already various housings and video cards that have received the label.
In practice, Nvidia's program mainly includes guidelines with a maximum size for video cards, which should standardize small form factor components. GPUs that want to receive the SFF-Ready label must be a maximum of 304mm long, 151mm high and 2.5 slots thick. Compact SFF housings, in turn, must provide minimal space for a video card. This concerns a length of 312mm, a height of 154.5mm and a thickness of 2.5 slots.
Nvidia says that several manufacturers are participating in the initiative. This includes ASUS, Cooler Master, Fractal, Gigabyte, MSI, NZXY, Phanteks, Thermaltake and Zotac. Several video cards have already been approved for the program. According to the GPU maker, this extends to some GeForce RTX 4080 Super models. There are also several compact enclosures that receive the label. According to Nvidia, each GPU mentioned must fit in each cabinet mentioned.
