Messages can be edited up to fifteen minutes after sending, Google reports. The user on the other end will see that the message has been edited after sending by a notification below it. Editing can be done by long-pressing the message and clicking the pencil icon at the top of the screen.
The function to activate the hotspot without having to log in is part of a set of functions that Google refers to as 'cross device services'. In this case, users have to pair devices, after which various services are available across various devices. In addition to using it as a hotspot, it is possible to switch a Meet meeting between devices. The functions are part of an Android upgrade that will be released this month.
