ASUS has introduced its first Wi-Fi 7 mesh router: the ZenWiFi BE3000. According to ASUS, the device delivers much higher speeds and more bandwidth, and supports quad-band.
The ZenWIFI BE3000 is a so-called quad-band router, which means that it supports four frequency bands. This concerns two 6GHz bands that enable speeds of up to 11,529Mbit/s, a 5GHz band with speeds of up to 5764Mbit/s and a 2.4GHz band with speeds of up to 1376Mbit/s, ASUS reports. Furthermore, the router supports bandwidths from 20 to 320MHz.
For wireless connections, ASUS promises coverage of up to more than 1000 square meters. There are several Ethernet ports available for wired connections, including a 10Gbit/s-wan/lan port and a 1Gbit/s-wan/lan port. Additional ports consist of a 10Gbit/s-LAN and two 1Gbit/s-LAN ports.
The new router has twelve built-in antennas and sixteen front-end modules. The device measures 214×174.2x72mm and weighs 1341 grams. The router also contains 2GB of RAM and 256MB of storage. ASUS has not yet announced when the device will be available or what it will cost.
