Google adds new AI functionality to Chromebook (Plus) laptops

Google is equipping its Chromebook and Chromebook Plus laptops with new AI functionality, which should be available immediately. The internet giant also provides a preview of future AI functions. According to Google, Chromebook Plus users will immediately have access to two functions that the company had already promised when announcing the Chromebook Plus brand. With 'Help me write', users can have Google AI type a piece of text based on a prompt, for example for a blog or social media. Google is also building generative background images into ChromeOS. This allows you to generate a background for your desktop based on a prompt. You can also generate backgrounds for video calls. Because the video backgrounds are created at the operating system level, they also work in non-Google software, such as Zoom and Teams.
