Google is testing Game Dashboard in ChromeOS beta version

Google has made the Game Dashboard available to testers in the beta version of ChromeOS 125. The feature was already announced at the I/O developer conference, but has been available for testing since Thursday.

Users who want to test the feature should go to the Beta channel in ChromeOS and install the update. Then the chrome://flags/#game-dashboard flag must be activated to use the feature. A pop-up for the dashboard will then appear when the user starts a game, writes Chrome Unboxed.

The dashboard contains a number of options. One of these is a mapping tool, which can be used with keyboards. There is not yet an option within the dashboard to remap a mouse or controller, but this will be added in the future.

In addition, there is a recording function that allows the user to record and save gameplay. The feature works not only with images and sound in the game, but also with the user's microphone and camera. Furthermore, the dashboard has a screenshot function. It is not yet known when the dashboard will be rolled out to all ChromeOS users.
