Foreign. Austrian FPÖ politician and EU parliamentarian Harald Vilimsky proposes that Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán should become president of the European Commission – to save Europe from immigration.

TwittraShareIn an interview with the APA news agency, Vilimsky praised Orban as “the antithesis of the entire EU establishment” and argued that the EU with the Hungarian leader at the helm would prevent large-scale immigration.
Vilimsky, who represents the EU-critical Freedom Party (FPÖ) in the EU elections, has long been one of Hungary's allies in Brussels.
In one of his last speeches in the current EU Parliament, he apologized to the citizens of Hungary for the criticism directed at Hungary by the EU Parliament.
