Helldivers 2 maker Arrowhead gets a new CEO. Founder and previous CEO Johan Pilestedt announced this on Wednesday. Shams Jorjani, who previously worked at Paradox, among others, will fill that position. Pilestedt will focus more on making games within the studio.
“I have decided to hire Shams Jorjani as the new CEO of Arrowhead,” Johan Pilestedt writes on social media. The new CEO has years of experience in management positions at Paradox Entertainment, among others. Pilestedt will take on a new position as chief creative officer and chairman of the studio. He says on social media that this move allows him to spend more time on the company's games and community.
Arrowhead Games is best known for the Helldivers series. The second game, released earlier this year, was very positively received by critics and players. However, earlier this month there was a stir surrounding the game, when publisher Sony said that the PC version of Helldivers 2 would require a PlayStation account. This was reversed a few days later.
