Domestic. The government and the Sweden Democrats have agreed to create a three-year framework for military support for the war in Ukraine totaling SEK 75 billion for 2024–2026. So 25 billion kroner per year.

With this proposal, the total military and civilian support from Sweden to Ukraine will amount to over 100 billion kroner.
In comparison, Sweden's total defense budget was 76.6 billion kroner in 2022, a figure that has increased to 119 billion kroner in 2024.
The military support in the Ukraine framework can for example in the form of donations of defense equipment, financial contributions and financial support for the procurement of defense equipment.
Depending on the type of support that will be used, for example if it is about deliveries of replacement procurements, the framework may come burdening the public finances for several years and even after 2026.
In order to finance the huge aid to Ukraine, the government is forced to deviate from the surplus target.
