Acer announces Swift 14 AI laptops with Snapdragon

Acer announces the updated Swift 14 AI series. The new laptops are equipped with Snapdragon X Plus and X Elite Socs and are aimed at AI applications with the Copilot+ functions. Acer will release the Swift 14 AI series in Europe in June for at least 1,499 euros.

The Swift 14 AI computers are Acer's first laptops to carry Microsoft's Copilot+ brand. Copilot+ laptops, according to Microsoft's description, have hardware intended for AI applications. Acer describes several new features that use the integrated neural processing unit in the Snapdragon For example, the computers support Cocreator to generate AI images and can automatically translate videos with Live Captions. Using Recall, users can describe something with prompts to find it again.

In addition to the Snapdragon X Plus and cores, Acer equips the systems with an Adreno GPU from Qualcomm with up to 3.8Tflops of computing power. The company is also upgrading the memory to a maximum of 32GB Lpddr5x-8533 and the storage space to a maximum of 1TB PCIe Gen4 SSDs. Only the screen remains the same compared to existing Swift 14 models: 14.5 inches with a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels, with the option for a touchscreen.
