Users can load Drive and OneDrive files directly into ChatGPT

Paid users of ChatGPT can now directly link Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive to the assistant. This allows the AI to immediately analyze files from the cloud storage services, without users having to manually download them and then upload them again.

ChatGPT maker OpenAI writes in a blog post that it is now possible for users of ChatGPT Plus or one of the business packages to link their Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive files directly to ChatGPT. The AI can then analyze the information therein, such as tables in a spreadsheet, and answer questions about it.

OpenAI has also added an improvement to the way ChatGPT can analyze datasets. When users upload a dataset, ChatGPT writes Python code to analyze those sets. Datasets are now also displayed as an interactive table in the interface. This is done in full screen, with a sidebar in which users can continue to chat with the tool. They can then click on areas in the dataset to ask specific questions about them.

These functions are immediately available to paying users. They can then immediately use the new GPT-4o language model that OpenAI released earlier this week.
