According to Follower, Deadlock is a 'competitive hero-based shooter' in third person view. Players would fight against each other in two teams of six on a map consisting of four lanes. According to the leaker, they can use different abilities and items. The game would also contain tower defense mechanisms.
The game would take place in a fantasy environment 'with steampunk elements'. There would be wizards, robots and 'crazy creatures' in the game and according to Follower, players would be able to use fast travel in the same way as is done in Bioshock Infinite.
