During the next congress, LO plans to raise a possible contractual demand for reduced working hours, the members decided on Saturday .
A Novus survey from November shows at the same time that today's young people want to work less, while material luxury is more important to today's young people than to previous generations.
When the issue was discussed in the Economic Agency on SVT on Thursday, the invited guests had slightly different perspectives on the issue.
Journalist Nanna Olasdotter Hallberg stated that young people can hardly work towards success today, because, for example, owning your own home is hardly something you can build savings capital for, regardless of how much you work.
– It is no longer possible to work hard and thus secure existence for yourself and your family, she says.
One who is critical of legislation on a shortened working time is the young M politician Benjamin Dousa, 31.
Dousa leads the M-branded organization Företagarna and is deeply critical of young people's view of work
– It can also be that young people in general are perhaps a bit lazier and a bit more spoiled, says Dousa, despite the fact that he himself has never either worked or run his own business.
