Hamrick Software has released version 9.8.33 of VueScan. The program can be used as a replacement for the twain drivers supplied with scanners and often offers more setting options. In many cases, the program can also control scanners if the manufacturer has not released a driver for the relevant operating system. Besides scanning, it can also perform some operations such as crop, sharpen, grain reduction and adjust color balance. VueScan is available for Windows, macOS and Linux, and supports over 7,700 scanners from 42 manufacturers. The program can be used in 28 languages, including Dutch. This release resolves various issues and adds the ability to scan at 1200 dpi on three older scanners.
