Domestic. The police began early on Tuesday morning a coordinated effort against serious organized crime in the Gothenburg area. At least 15 people have been arrested.

During the morning and forenoon, several people have been detained. About ten have been brought in for questioning, while additional people have been arrested on suspicion of crime.
Hundreds of police officers initially worked with the operation, which targets serious organized crime. Weapons, drugs and cash have been seized.
– It is the largest coordinated operation in modern times, says deputy regional police chief Robert Karlsson to Expressen.
Interventionist police, detectives and investigators participate in the operation, but also special units such as the task force, IT forensics, forensics, national bomb protection and police dogs.
The background is an investigation of serious drug crimes. The suspicions also apply to serious violent crimes. But the effort is ongoing and the criminal classifications may be adjusted depending on what emerges during house searches and interrogations.
