Microsoft has released a new test version of Windows 11. The company has equipped the build's settings menu with advertising for the Game Pass subscription. It is not clear whether the advertisement will also appear in the final versions of Windows 11.
The advertisement will appear on the home screen of the settings menu of Windows 11 Insider Preview Build KB5037864. Microsoft writes that not all users will see the advertisement, but only those who actively play games on their PC. It is not clear how Microsoft plans to control this. The American tech giant reports that it has also made improvements and bug fixes through this build. Previous test versions of Windows 11 show that Microsoft is also considering app advertisements in the Windows 11 start menu. In 2021 it was also announced that Microsoft is advertising Xbox Game Pass when installing Windows 11.
