Computer manufacturer Dell would like to release a new Inspiron 14 and XPS 13 laptop this year. These laptops are rumored to have a Qualcomm Snapdragon X SoC. It is not clear when the devices will appear on the market.
According to Windows Report, there is already talk of a new Dell Inspiron 14 7441 Plus. The tech website writes that this laptop will have a Snapdragon X Elite, with sixteen computing cores. However, leaked benchmark results show that the Inspiron 14 7441 Plus will have a Qualcomm SoC with twelve computing cores. The basic version would also have 16GB of RAM.
The design of the Dell Inspiron 14 7441 Plus has reportedly been adjusted. The laptop would be slightly thinner and have rounded corners. The device is said to have two USB-C ports, a USB-A port, a microSD card reader and a Copilot key. The device would also have a fingerprint scanner and Windows Hello authentication cameras.
Windows Report writes that the computer manufacturer also has a new Dell XPS 13 laptop in the pipeline: the Dell have a Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite, or an Intel Ultra chip. The design of this laptop is said to be based on the Dell XPS 13 Plus. The tech website claims that both laptops will ship with Windows 11 24H2. The existence of this update was confirmed by Microsoft at the beginning of this year and is expected in the second half of 2024. Windows 11 24H2 is said to bring some new AI applications. At the beginning of last year, rumors were already circulating that Dell would launch laptops with a Qualcomm chip in 2024.
