Foreign. The head of Ukraine's security police UDO, Serhiy Rud, is fired after plans to assassinate President Zelenskyi were revealed within the agency, the BBC reports.

According the security service SBU, it is the Russian intelligence service FSB that infiltrated the military and the intelligence world with the aim of murdering Zelenskyj.
On May 20 the president's term of office expires, but the government has used the ongoing war as a reason not to hold new elections.
At the same time, support for Zelenskyi is falling among the population, and in a potential election it is considered clear that he would lose to his former Deputy Prime Minister Valery Zaluzhny, whom he currently appoints as ambassador in London.
According to the president's staff, there is nothing that links Rud to the plans to assassinate the president. The reason for his resignation has not been made public.
