“Long long live Europe! Ursula von der Leyen is the Moderates' and EPP's candidate for president of the EU Commission.”
So writes the Moderates in a post on X, where the party also published a video in which Ursula von der Leyen talks about how proud her politician father would have been of today's EU if he were alive today.
The post has received few likes – but hundreds of critical comments.
“Is this a joke gone wrong ?” reads one comment.
“You guys are completely lost!! Think you were once a Moderate, damn it, never again,” writes another user.
