Several top bourgeois politicians have reacted very strongly on a move from Marta Aguirre, who is the fourth name on the Left Party's list before the EU elections.

During a debate at the Kulturhuset in Stockholm on Tuesday, she proposed peace negotiations in Ukraine as a way to end the war.

– It is extremely serious if we now have a Swedish party in Sweden that says we should have peace negotiations with Putin, thundered the moderate EU parliamentarian Tomas Tobé, who also participated in the debate.

The debate was to be broadcast by SVT afterwards. But the Swedish representation of the European Commission, which recorded the debate, did not release the material because V did not give his consent to it.

The Left Party's head of communications, Örjan Rodhe, writes to Aftonbladet that the party has now changed its mind and that it approves that the debate is shown on SVT.

“In the first stage, we stuck to the arrangement of channels that had been agreed for the debate in advance, but we have now informed the organizer that we have no objection to broadcasting in more channels”, he writes.

SVT tells Aftonbladet that the debate will be broadcast after V's turn.
