Submit. The only thing “Cold facts” managed to reveal with its long infiltration of the Sweden Democrats is that “Riks” is not an independent media project. But who really thought that? asks the submitting writer.

After TV4 announced for several days that something big was going on, namely that they would once and for all prove that SD really has a “troll factory”, so on Tuesday evening it was time for part one of the big reveal.

With trumpets and trumpets, it was already announced in the morning program, in batches, that in the evening, the channel's journalistic flagship, Cold Facts, will deliver a historic broadside against the Sweden Democrats and expose their insidious strategies. The dangerous mission had been entrusted to the man of the future, Emil Hellerud, who with a sure hand guided his adept Daniel Andersson behind enemy lines.

The channel received statements from the clumsy center leader Demirok, who tried to appear indignant, and then the party secretaries of the socialists and the left, Baudin and Etzler, who disinterestedly blurted out something incoherent about “democracy”, “disinformation” and “hate and threats”.

< p>Perhaps in the next episode more serious information will be presented about which strategies SD applies to carry out propaganda on social media, but the big “reveal” so far is that the Youtube channel Riks is not completely independent from the party.

This is of course not news. Everyone understands that Riks is a Sweden Democratic news agency controlled by the party leadership. It is also no secret that Riks was started by SD in 2020 and only last year was “sold” to long-time, loyal party member Jakob Hagnell. The connections to SD are obvious and no one can have understood the formal “sale” as an attempt to get rid of the channel.

That is why it becomes silly when SD's communications boss Joakim Wallerstein, in front of a hidden camera, gives orders to Rik's employees before Expressen will come to visit and interview Dick Erixon:

“At 1 p.m. the Expressen will come here with a political reporter and cameraman. Absolutely no SD staff here and super closed. They must have absolutely no idea that there is any connection. Super important.”

Sure, it's embarrassing, but the TV4 guys completely miss the mark and just go on and on about Riks for all the obvious connections to SD as if it were a “revelation”, like a stupid puppy who proudly present a chewed-up old toy over and over again.

In the extra material for the first episode on TV4 Play, Emil Hellerud sits, smug and self-righteous, much like you might imagine a young Göran Persson, plus mild autism, and tries to grill Wallerstein over the link about the “misinformation” he believes the party is spreading.< /p>

In addition to the fact that Riks is not independent from the Sweden Democrats “even though you have said so”, it has been discovered that the alleged “troll factory” has spread an image of “two men in turbans and long beards with Kalashnikovs” with the text “an ordinary day in Malmö”. It's not true, because that's not what a normal day in Malmö looks like, and then it's “disinformation”, Hellerud reasons.

With the greatest of goodwill, TV4's “revelation” cannot be described as anything else than an anticlimax, or rather a gut punch. If you have so much time and resources to successfully infiltrate an organization – don't you have more to come up with after a year?

The only thing Cold Facts really succeeded in “revealing” with this sad attempt at wall-raping is that TV4 has an agenda.
