'Tesla scrapped Supercharger division and fired team'

Tesla has closed the department responsible for its Supercharger fast chargers and laid off almost all of its staff. The Financial Times, among others, writes this based on an internal Tesla memo. Musk says the Supercharger network is still being expanded.

Most of the team and management have been fired, the Financial Times writes. CEO Elon Musk says in the memo that the company must be “hardcore” when it comes to headcount and cost limitations.
