Google Gemini will receive support to search Gmail, Google Maps and Google Drive in Dutch. The AI assistant can also be accessed by typing @gemini in the address bar of Chrome.
With the integration of Gmail and Drive, Google says it will be possible to create prompts such as 'search Gmail when Donny is again is celebrating his birthday' when the answer is in an email. For Drive, users will have to say something like “Find and summarize the podcast notes in Drive.”
In addition, Chrome users no longer have to go to Gemini to access the assistant. Mentioning @gemini in the address bar is enough to enter a prompt. Google is integrating its AI assistant into the browser, with which it appears to be using its power on the browser market to boost the use of Gemini.
The changes can also be used in Dutch. Gemini started last year as chatbot Bard, but has since been renamed. It has paid subscriptions and can be used as a standard assistant on Android.
