Dutch game developer KeokeN Interactive has laid off almost all of its staff. The company says it cannot find a publisher or other work and says that means there are no other options. The CEO and director want to rebuild the company.
The game maker indicated in March that it was urgently looking for a new publisher and now says that the search was unsuccessful. KeokeN therefore had to fire the employees and says he wants to help them find a new job. The CEO and director, both co-founders, indicate that they want to rebuild the company and therefore want to soon start a Kickstarter for Deliver Us Home, a new game in the Deliver Us series.
KeokeN is a Dutch studio based in Hoofddorp, which in recent years has made Deliver Us Mars and Deliver Us The Moon, among others. These are sci-fi adventure games with platform elements and puzzles. The company was founded in 2013.
Heartbroken, we've had to lay off our team at KeokeN because of nothing substantial materializing directly after our visit to GDC. We've unfortunately exhausted all our possible options for publishing, work for hire, and co-development.
