Domestic. There is no “upper limit” to how much Sweden can support Ukraine, according to Liberal party leader Johan Pehrson. This claim is now questioned by Richard Jomshof (SD).

The war in Ukraine is “our” war and Sweden cannot therefore set any limits on support to Kiev in the form of weapons and money.
So writes Johan Pehrson in an attention-grabbing post on X.
The move came after SD party leader Jimmie Åkesson said in an interview with GP that there is an “upper limit” for support for Ukraine.
There is no “upper limit” for blue-yellow solidarity. There is no better way for security in Europe than for Ukraine to win the war. This is also “our” war. The EU and Sweden need to do even more for Ukraine's and our own freedom. For the free Sweden we love.

Johan Pehrson's claim that Sweden can give unlimited support to Ukraine is, however, questioned by many, including SD leader Richard Jomshof.
“You know, as well as I do, that we completely agree to support Ukraine as much as possible. Of course, no upper limit?” he writes.
Now you can take @JohanPehrson anyway. You know, as well as I do, that we are in complete agreement to support Ukraine as much as possible. Of course. But no upper limit?

“Please, just stop. You know as well as I do that we agree on the matter. The discussion deserves a little more seriousness than that. Personally, I think we should send as much as we can. But there is probably an upper limit, we still have to be able to defend ourselves,” continues Richard Jomshof.
The post is answered by a lot of so-called boomers with various flags in their profiles who accuse the SD top of being “Putinist” and the like for he doesn't want to give all the Swedish money to Ukraine.
To this Jomshof replies:
“Put it down, Putin is a disgusting vomit and we will support Ukraine as much as we can. We by the way, was alone for a long time to warn about Putin and Russia. Can then announce that none of the governing parties have advocated that we should donate everything we have, nothing.”
The idea that there is no limit to how a lot of tax money that can be spent on a single thing has existed in Swedish politics in the past. Until about ten years ago, for example, you were automatically portrayed as a racist – or even a Nazi – if you suggested that there was a ceiling on how many asylum seekers Sweden could accept.
