The policewomen and the gangs

  • Policewoman who helped Rawa Majid's cousin got a new job – at Brå
  • Female police officers leak information to sex partners in gangs

Dagens Nyheter has made a attention-grabbing survey showing the extent of the problem of female police officers 'switching sides' after being charmed by gang criminals.

A total of 514 reports of suspected police leaks have been made since 2018, and according to DN's review, it is a “recurring method” of gang members to initiate sexual relations with police officers.

Some of the women exposed have since immediately found new jobs at other agencies. DN takes up the case of a policewoman in central Sweden interrogated Foxtrot leader Rawa Majid's cousin, who was suspected of running arms deals from prison – including the weapon used in the murder of twelve-year-old Adriana. Secretly, the policewoman had a relationship with the gang profiler, and exchanged letters intensively with him.

“Is there any chance that I can get that cool gold ring that the newspapers say some people have? Haha. […] Aina will link me in Foxtrot. The greenest lady ever. Hahaha,” she wrote in one of the letters.

“Sitting at work, heh. How many hours of my working time have I put into you? If only people knew,” read another message from the policewoman.

The woman was sentenced in 2023 for data breach. By then, however, she had already managed, without a security clearance, to get a new job at the Crime Prevention Council (Brå) while the investigation against her was ongoing. At Brå, she worked in a project specifically against serious organized crime.

The revelations are shaking the police, and many are upset by what has come to light.

Rickard Möller tells Expressen that what revealed testifies to a system error.

– I get so fucking pissed off and tired, he tells the newspaper.

Police officer Peter “Peppe” Larsson, known from social media, comments on the matter on X :

“This sort of thing pisses me off like crazy. How you can have lost your ethical compass so hard in the floor that it doesn't even exist anymore.”

Even Viktor Adolfsson, better known as “YB Södermalm”, writes about the revelations on the same platform:

“Think of looking in the mirror as a police officer. Realize that whoever is looking back at you contributed to criminals being able to kill and injure people. That your colleagues' families have been mapped. That your colleagues are in the picture with serious criminals.”
