In total, S wants to push a total of twelve billion kroner to healthcare, according to the party's economic policy spokesperson Mikael Damberg.

Furthermore, S proposes in its shadow budget two extra payments of study grants for high school students over the summer. A family with two children in high school would then receive an extra SEK 5,000 in grants.

This is to be financed with a new bank tax which, according to the party, would contribute SEK 8.3 billion to the state treasury this year.

– Banks have made big profits when interest rates have been high, and their interest margins have increased sharply. It is reasonable that they are involved and contribute to building Sweden stronger during the crisis, says Damberg to TT.
