The survey, which Dagens Nyheter somewhat unexpectedly published on Sunday, shows that the criminal gangs have set up systems to initiate sexual relations with police officers to such an extent that leaks have become a widespread problem.

A total of 514 reports of suspected leaks have been made since 2018, and according to DN's mapping is it a “recurring method” from gang members to initiate sexual relations with police officers.

Martin Valfridsson, at the police department for special investigations, tells DN that leaks to criminals is a widespread problem.

– It has been going on for a long time in southern Europe. In a short time, it has become established here as well, he says.

At the authority, among other things, they have established the expression “luft-pm” to describe how police officers draw up pointless reports about people their criminal boyfriends are interested in. . The reports are then used to explain registry searches and make them look legitimate.

Even fake 112 alarms have been used by the gangs and their sex partners, according to DN.

Female police officers were allowed in outer service for the first time in 1971 and women were allowed to apply for training for the same at the police academy.

The number of women in the corps increased constantly during the years 1989 to 1997 when the Police Academy under the leadership of then-rector Göran “Kapitel Klänning” Lindberg carried out major gender adjustments to the training.

In 2024, the police force will consist of 35 percent women.
