Blizzard is discontinuing the World of Warcraft Companion app. The company does not provide an explanation for this.

Blizzard writes in a short update that it will no longer support the WoW Companion app. This coincides with the release of The War Within expansion of World of Warcraft. It will be released later this year, but an exact date has not yet been announced. After release, the Companion app will no longer receive updates, can no longer be downloaded or even used.

The WoW Companion app was released in 2018. World of Warcraft users can use the app to track missions from the game and view factions. It is also possible to buy and sell items with trading houses managed by other players.
