Domestic. Member of the Riksdag Lorena Delgado Varas (V) has come under fire for her choice of clothing in the Riksdag. Despite several warnings from the speaker, she has chosen to wear a Palestinian shawl.

According to the Echo, Lorena Delgado Varas has been reprimanded four times in recent weeks for she wore a Palestinian shawl in the chamber.
According to the rules, it is not permitted for members to wear clothes with political messages – apart from party pins.
Vice Speaker Kenneth G Forslund reminded of the dress code during a debate in early April. Delgado Varas then replied that she sees it as “an act of solidarity more than a political symbol”.
According to Ekot, the matter has been discussed among the parties' group leaders.
– I think it is regrettable . After all, no residents of this country get to choose which rules they want to break. I don't think we as members of the Riksdag can do that either, says group leader Lina Nordquist (L).
In a comment to Ekot, Delgado Varas writes:
“It's good to have rules of procedure, but there will always be a gray zone. Banning a shawl is such a zone. The big issue is that there is a genocide against the Palestinian people.”
