The investment would cost around SEK 1 billion , money that the Left Party redistributes in the spring budget by scrapping the government's investment in aviation.

– In economically tough times, investments must go to young people and climate change, not to an aviation industry that has increased its emissions by 70 percent. Right now the prices for public transport travelers are being raised in many places in Sweden and it is hitting many households' finances hard, says Linda Westerlund Snecker, transport policy spokesperson for the Left Party, in a dispatch.

She continues:

– The government and the Sweden Democrats are leaving households to their fate in the crisis and they are trying to compensate for their previously set budgets that were devastating for the climate by investing coffee money to fix the problems in the spring budget.
