Businessman Gerard Sanderink must repay more than 91 million euros to his former IT company Centric. A court in Amsterdam decided this. Sanderink had demanded 30 million euros from Centric, but that demand was not met.

According to the NOS, the dispute revolves around a dividend of 80 million euros that Sanderink had paid out several years ago to his holding company, Sanderink Investments. . The businessman was still CEO of Centric at the time, but a few years later he decided to have the dividend payment converted into a loan. He reportedly did this because a dividend payment would have been fiscally disadvantageous for one of his other companies, Strukton. The current board of Centric demanded 80 million euros back, plus interest and costs. The board was ruled in favor by the judge in Amsterdam and Sanderink should repay the amount immediately. An appeal could not stop the payment obligation.
