The first edition of the Flemish central tests was disrupted by technical problems. The system used to administer the digital tests was reportedly overloaded and therefore worked slowly. As a result, some students were unable to complete their test.

According to the VRT, the problems have now largely been resolved. The Flemish Minister of Education Ben Weyts states that a catch-up moment will be provided for schools that have experienced disruption. It is not yet clear when that moment will take place. The minister's office told De Morgen that approximately two percent of all students were unable to complete their started tests.

The Flemish central tests are digital tests on the subjects of Dutch and mathematics. These tests were created to combat the declining quality of education in Flanders. On April 24, the first Flemish tests took place in the fourth year of primary education and in the second year of secondary education.
