Domestic. If the government and the Sweden Democrats push through a reform that limits the Social Democrats' lottery operations, there will be revenge, according to S-top Tobias Baudin.

– If we comes to power next term, which I hope we do, there will be demands and pressure from within our party that we should do various things that will make it bad for the Moderates and the Sweden Democrats.

So says S party secretary Tobias Baudin to Göteborgs-Posten regarding the plans regarding lottery operations.

According to an investigation that was completed a couple of weeks ago, party-linked lotteries should become more transparent.

Tobias Baudin calls the plans a “party tax ” which “hits us hard”. If the proposed reforms are carried out, S would, according to Baudin, be forced to pay an extra 25 million in taxes, which would mean that the entire profit for the business would be wiped out.

He also states that S “knows that SD is behind it” the whole thing.

According to Baudin, a possible revenge could be that a future S-led government legislates against parties' local districts transferring money to the parent party – something that SD and M engage in while S does the opposite and distributes money from top to bottom.
