Apple has announced that it will be holding an event on May 7. The electronics maker probably wants to show its new iPad Pro models with OLED screen there. There have been rumors about this for years.

The announcement, which Apple emailed to journalists, shows an image of a stylized Apple logo with a hand and an Apple Pencil. The only Apple products that support the pen are the manufacturer's iPads. The last new iPads were more than a year and a half ago. The last major upgrade of the iPad Pro tablet was about 5.5 years ago.
The rumors about the new iPads have been going on for some time. An online store already put the listings online and Bloomberg wrote in January that iPads with M3 sockets would be released this spring. The first rumors about iPads with OLED screens date back three years.
