Provider Stern Mobile is closing down. The SIM-only provider, which worked on VodafoneZiggo's network, distinguished itself because subscribers could easily adjust their subscription. The company emails customers, but does not say anything about the discontinuation.
Stern Mobile has sent an email to customers, which tweakers on GoT are now also reporting about. The provider will stop as of May 15 this year. The company does not give a reason for this, but says that this is 'the result of various factors and strategic considerations'.
From May 15, customers will no longer be able to call, text or use the internet with their mobile subscription. . The provider also says it will no longer charge any further costs and will refund the last month's costs to customers. According to the company, customer service will remain available.
Stern Mobile came onto the market in 2023. The SIM-only provider uses the VodafoneZiggo network. Customers could adjust their calling and data bundles with the provider on a monthly basis, both up and down, without being tied to a contract. The provider does not say anything about the termination on its website. It is also still possible to conclude new contracts.
