Paradox is refunding Cities: Skylines II DLC and delaying console release

Paradox Interactive and Colossal Order apologize for the state of Cities: Skylines II and the recently released Beach Properties DLC. The companies promise to give customers money back. In line with this, the console version of the game will be postponed.

In a blog post, the developer and publisher explain that the Beach Properties DLC package was released too quickly and did not meet customer expectations. People who purchased the package separately will get their money back. Customers who received the pack as part of the Expansion Pass will receive a refund for the value of the DLC. This is not possible for customers of the Ultimate Edition, these customers are compensated with extra content. On an accompanying FAQ page, the companies explain in detail how this process works.

Beach Properties will be a free addition for all owners of Cities: Skylines II. At the time of writing, the DLC is still available for ten euros via Steam. To compensate customers, Paradox promises that owners of the Ultimate Edition will receive three additional Creator Packs and 3 Radio Stations in the future. To avoid future disappointment, Paradox de Bridges & Ports expansion until sometime in 2025. This DLC package would actually be released in the last quarter of this year.

In addition, the companies are postponing the release of the console version of Cities: Skylines II. Although a final release date had not yet been announced, the game's console release was planned to take place in the spring of this year. Now Paradox is aiming for October this year.
