Domestic. A woman in Ångermanland is sentenced for extremely serious assault and serious assault of her preschool-age daughter.

The district court judges that the mother was guilty of severe abuse by giving the child her anti-depressants and particularly severe abuse by giving the child insulin and bacteria in the blood.
Around 20 witnesses have been heard in the case and although no one saw the mother give the child medicine , insulin or bacteria, the district court considers that it is beyond reasonable doubt that it was the mother who did this and thus exposed the child to a life-threatening condition and great suffering.
The mother is sentenced to six years in prison and must pay approximately 430,000 kroner in damages to the child.
