The first working version of the NL Wallet, an app from the Dutch government to share trusted data with, for example, governments, agencies and companies, is online. The final version will probably be released in two years.

It concerns version 0.1.25, according to GitHub. You can log in with DigiD, while the municipality of Amsterdam is involved as a non-working demonstration. The operation of the app can be seen on Figma. NL Wallet will be the Dutch implementation of a digital wallet that can be used throughout Europe, the government writes. The versions in each country will be mutually compatible.

NL Wallet allows users to import data from government databases and provide it. For example, it should be possible to request only the necessary information, such as proof that the age is over eighteen at a liquor store. In practice, this works with cards with data that users can share on request. The references that wallets in European countries must meet have been online since last year. The app has been in the pipeline for years.
