Nintendo will not be present at the Gamescom fair in Germany this year. A company spokesperson told the German site Games Wirtschaft. Nintendo does not give a specific reason for his absence.
“Gamescom is a great event and every year we evaluate whether Nintendo should participate or not. After careful consideration from all perspectives, we have made the decision not to be present at Gamescom 2024,” a spokesperson told Games Wirtschaft.
Nintendo was present in Cologne last year. According to rumors, the company then showed a demonstration of the successor to the Nintendo Switch behind closed doors. However, in February this year it was announced that the console may come onto the market later than initially expected. Nintendo initially hoped to release the console this year, according to rumors. According to Bloomberg, that won't happen until March 2025 at the earliest.
