Bishop in Sydney stabbed – live on camera

Foreign. A Christian bishop in Australia was stabbed repeatedly with a sharp object during a service that was broadcast live online.

The attack took place in Christ the Good Shepherd Church in Wakeley, a suburb of Sydney.

In the middle of the sermon, a man dressed in black walks up to the bishop and starts stabbing him. It is unclear what kind of object the attacker is using.

The video shows how panic breaks out and several in the congregation try to save the bishop.

The police confirm that several people have been injured, but none are believed to be life-threatening. injuries according to BBC News.

The bishop – Mar Mari Emmanuel – is a well-known vaccine critic and has hundreds of thousands of followers on social media.

As recently as Saturday, six people were killed in a shopping center in Sydney of a knife man. The perpetrator in that case was shot dead by the police and his motives are unclear.
