Fallout 4 will receive a free upgrade with 60fps support on the Xbox Series X and S and PlayStation 5 on April 25. On PC, the game also gets graphical improvements such as support for widescreen monitors. A lot of new in-game content will also be released for all platforms.

Bethesda writes that players on the next-gen consoles will receive a free upgrade with better graphics. After the update, players can choose a Performance Mode or a Quality Mode. In the first mode it is possible to play the game at 60 frames per second. A free upgrade will also be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but it will only have 'stability improvements' and some bug fixes for quests.

PC players will also receive an update for the game. They get support for widescreen and ultra-widescreen monitors. On Steam, GOG and the Microsoft Store, Fallout 4 also receives stability improvements and several bug fixes. The game will also be available on the Epic Games Store and Fallout 4 will be 'Steam Deck-verified'.

Bethesda is also adding a lot of new content to the game with the update. A new quest will become available in which The Enclave from Fallout 3 plays a role. In addition, new Power Armor, a new weapon and new skins for weapons and equipment will be available.
