Google is releasing a separate version of Chrome for business users, which includes more security features for a fee. Chrome Enterprise Premium, for example, includes data loss prevention, context-sensitive access controls, and more extensive logging and reporting.

Google announced the browser, called Chrome Enterprise Premium, at its Next '24 conference. Enterprise Premium is a paid variant of Chrome Enterprise Core, which has been around for some time. But while Core is free, Enterprise Premium costs six dollars per user per month. For this purpose, users receive a customized browser that is more focused on security than Core. For example, Enterprise Core includes standard malware protection, but Enterprise Premium contains more such tools.

For example, Chrome Enterprise Premium has options to enforce policies and manage software updates in the same way as other software. managed within a company. Enterprise Premium also has more in-depth reporting with 'forensic capabilities'. These reports can be integrated with other Google software. The Premium variant of the browser also has 'context-dependent' access control for various SaaS packages and web apps. Finally, the browser has support for things such as anti-phishing tools, dynamic URL filters and data theft prevention.

Chrome Enterprise Premium is immediately generally available. However, administrators must arrange this through Google's sales department and cannot do so online.
